Respected for its innovative engineering, Fuchs is a leader in the lubricant industry, constantly developing advanced solutions to meet the latest equipment from original manufacturers. Recently, the company rolled out its own design for safety goggles to schools as part of a new educational partnership.
The world of chemistry is central to the cutting-edge lubricants Fuchs formulates, manufactures and supplies worldwide. Its products include refrigeration compressor oil, coolant, vacuum pump fluid and mould release oil for the metalworking sector, among others.
The aim of the safety goggles distribution to students is to help make safe spaces for them to experiment with chemistry on a practical level and explore their interest in the science. The first personal protective equipment (PPE) handovers have already taken place in Germany at the Integrierte Gesamtschule Goetheschule in Kaiserslautern and the Moll-Gymnasium in the city of Mannheim (where Fuchs is headquartered). Further school exchanges are planned to take place over the coming weeks.
The official Fuchs website explained that the goggles represented far more than mere equipment. They stand for the company’s continuing commitment to young people seeking to experiment safely and forge a career in science.
In collaboration with its partner schools, the lubricant maker seeks to make such experiments possible and broaden the horizons of students. The recent rollout of safety goggles follows an earlier handover of experiment kits that classrooms met with enthusiasm.
Founded in in 1931, Fuchs has risen to become the world’s most sizeable independent lubricant supplier and has a diverse portfolio containing over 10,000 products.
