Those attending this year’s Lubricant Expo will be able to benefit from the expertise of Kluber Lubricants, a leading maker of speciality lubricants.

Kluber’s application engineering head, Dr Eva-Maria Mautner, will be giving a keynote presentation titled “The Energy Efficiency Revolution: How Lubrication Can Drive the Change”. Kluber’s aim is to show how friction can be transformed into substantial gains through tailored solutions and advanced lubricants. This includes enhancements in sustainability and energy efficiency and reductions in operational costs.

Dr Mautner said about this:

“Energy efficiency is not a side issue – it’s a strategic lever for competitiveness and responsibility. We help companies achieve measurable progress – both economically and ecologically. As a recognised partner to industry, Kluber Lubrication actively contributes to the transformation towards a more sustainable future.”

Kluber says some industries are not maximising the potential for improving efficiency by optimising their lubrication systems. It says mechanical friction, such as in gearboxes and bearings, can be reduced by analysing the data and customising an appropriate service package. This typically involves switching to a suitable advanced lubricant, such as gear oil or grease. Reduced friction means less energy is consumed for the same output, contributing to sustainability goals and reducing input costs. Other resource savings include less downtime, longer intervals between relubrication and lower lubricant use.

In addition to Dr Mautner’s presentation, Kluber will have a presence at Booth 659 in Hall 9. A team of experts will be there to discuss how existing installations can be made more energy efficient through practical strategies.
