The deepwater Tahiti and Jack/St. Malo facilities were outfitted with water-injection technology. The Jack and St. Malo fields have produced nearly 400 million gross barrels of oil equivalent combined since they began producing in 2014, while Tahiti recently exceeded 500 million gross barrels of oil equivalent since it came online in 2009. Chevron says its operations in the US Gulf of ሜክስኮ produce crude oil and gas with some of the lowest carbon intensity in the world.
