France-based TotalEnergies has announced the immediate appointment of Emmanuelle Guégan as president for marketing and services.
She replaces Bernard Pinatel, who has decided to retire from the position. The chief executive officer and chairman of TotalEnergies, Patrick Pouyanné, expressed his warm gratitude to:
“…Bernard Pinatel for his longstanding commitment to the company. Throughout his career, and notably during his last 10 years at the executive committee, he has placed his industrial experience, team spirit and energy at the service of the performance and development of our refining, chemicals and marketing activities.”
He also expressed his pleasure at Emmanuelle Guégan joining the executive committee. Guégan has a longstanding career at TotalEnergies, which produces advanced lubricant, coolant and grease products under the Total brand. She started in the marketing and services segment, specifically for the retail segment in France, before holding a number of operational positions.
She moved on to TotalEnergies’ financial division in 2005 on being appointed as the head of reporting and cost control for the exploration and production business. She returned to marketing and services in 2008 as the French market head of finance control. In 2012, she went on to serve as director of New Models in 2012, and later took on the role of the Africa division’s vice president for human resources. She also served as the senior vice president (SVP) for human resources and communications and the SVP for human resource strategy and performance.
Most recently, she has worked in the exploration and production division as the SVP for corporate affairs since October 2025.
