Leading lubrication solutions provider FUCHS has announced the official opening of a new technology centre in Taunton, Massachusetts.
The new 55,000 square-foot Americas Development Center will act as a technical support, research and development hub. It will focus on application-centric innovation through stronger collaboration with customers throughout the Americas to enhance manufacturing competitiveness.
FUCHS Lubricants Co.’s CEO and President, Megan O’Meara, said:
“Our customers are under constant pressure to improve performance, increase efficiency and stay ahead of change. This technology centre allows us to work more closely with them, apply our expertise to their unique challenges and help them develop solutions that drive results. Ultimately, our goal is simple: to help our customers win.”
The new Taunton centre will help drive the development of advanced lubricant solutions for diverse demanding applications. In addition to traditional industrial operations like metalworking and high-load gearboxes, this will include more future-oriented applications like facilitating space exploration and manufacturing semiconductor chips.
The centre’s geographic location will help FUCHS to enhance its collaboration with customers in the Americas and better understand their needs. It will also serve as an integral part of FUCHS global network for innovation and the company’s FUCHS100 strategy.
Local experts will also benefit from the centre by being able to connect with engineers, scientists and other teams around the world.
FUCHS SE’s deputy chairman, Dr. Timo Reister, said the new centre and the wider innovation network will enable the company to combine worldwide expertise. This in turn will bring tangible value to all its customers by speeding up the innovation process.
