Leading lubricant maker Castrol has revealed two new synthetic engine oils designed to improve motorcycle performance.

The products titled “POWER1 ULTIMATE 10W-40” and “POWER1 ULTIMATE SUPERBIKE 10W-50” (which includes a racing ester formula) were recently introduced by Castrol Master Distributor at Inside Racing’s Bike Festival and Trade Show in the Philippines.

Now in its 20th year, the event took place inside the World Trade Centre in the country’s capital, Manila.

A globally recognised brand, Castrol is renowned for its industrial lubricants like heavy-duty gear oil and gas engine oil, along with solutions to maintain both on and off-road equipment. The two brand-new lubricants were developed for a range of markets including performance and endurance riders, racing enthusiasts and everyday motorcyclists. They are formulated to supply race-style acceleration, enhanced engine protection and stability at high-temperatures to meet the demands of riding conditions in the Philippines.

The Southeast Asian country is experiencing continued growth in motorcycle ownership, with a greater number of riders looking to buy high-performance bikes. While some motorcycles are used for daily commutes into the centre of the capital, others are employed for weekend rides to more rural destinations.

Castrol has recognised the country’s blossoming bike culture and demonstrated its support by providing cutting-edge lubrication technology that meets the needs of modern riders. The recently launched products are also ideal for smaller displacement bikes, giving them flexible usability throughout the wider market.

As well as impressive acceleration and a smoother riding experience, the new lubricants have enhanced heat management suited to the Philippines’ Western Pacific climate.
