French energy giant TotalEnergies has announced what it calls an “exceptional” package for sharing value with its workers this year.

TotalEnergies, which makes the Total metalworking and coolant fluids, said in a press release that over 70% of its global workforce hold shares in the company. It added that last year, it:

“…paid out approximately €700 million in dividends to employee and former employee shareholders, including approximately €450 million in France. The dividend growth policy of at least 5% per year for the next five years up to 2030, announced by the Board of Directors in September, will also directly benefit employees.”

In recognition of its employees’ professionalism, commitment and dedication, TotalEnergies has announced various enhancements and support mechanisms. First, it is advancing €1,000 on a final value-sharing bonus to be negotiated at the end of the year. This will be paid in addition to existing benefits available to employees.

The Board of Directors at the company has also authorised an increase in the capital reserved for employees. They will receive a 20% discount when buying company shares. Furthermore, these will be matched by up to 10 bonus shares.

The company has also announced support to help its employees cope with the rising cost of energy. Employees worldwide have already received a fuel allowance of €200.

TotalEnergies has decided to also issue all employees in France with a Fleet card. This gives an eight-cent discount on every litre of petrol or diesel bought at the company’s fuel stations.
