Shell extends fuel app to more SMEs

Energieriese Shell has upgraded its Shell Fleet App for managing fuel payments to accommodate more kleine bis mittlere Unternehmen.

In addition to making lubricants like transmission oil and commercial vehicle oil to keep fleets moving, Shell also has a network of over a thousand forecourts in the UK for refuelling, and access to 2,500 more through partnering companies, as well as more than 20,000 charging points for electric vehicles.

The Shell Fleet App provides smaller businesses with enhanced control over their fuel expenses through automated digital invoices and tailored spending limits. The app boasts a friendly interface and an automated onboarding system which allows drivers to get approval within 10 minutes of signing up to the app. Drivers can also benefit from regular discounts at stations belonging to Shell.

Deepti Behl, Shell’s Global Head of SME, said about the news:

„Kleine und mittlere Unternehmen haben in der Regel nicht Zugriff auf die gleichen Ressourcen wie größere Organisationen, um ihre Fahrzeugverwaltung zu verwalten. Für Unternehmen mit mehreren Fahrzeugen in ihrer Flotte erhöht dies nur die Komplexität und den Verwaltungsaufwand, die mit der Führung eines Unternehmens einhergehen.“

Behl sagte, aus diesem Grund sei das Unternehmen so froh, die App auf KMU mit Flotten von bis zu 30 Fahrzeugen auszuweiten, damit diese durch die Nutzung der Dienste auch Zeit bei der Verwaltung sparen und sich mehr auf Arbeiten mit hoher Priorität konzentrieren können, die zum Wachstum ihres Unternehmens beitragen. Bisher war die App auf kleinere Unternehmen mit bis zu 10 Fahrzeugen in ihrer Flotte beschränkt.
