Energy giant Shell has upgraded its Shell Fleet App for managing fuel payments to accommodate more small-to-medium-sized enterprises.
In addition to making lubricants like transmission oil and commercial vehicle oil to keep fleets moving, Shell also has a network of over a thousand forecourts in the UK for refuelling, and access to 2,500 more through partnering companies, as well as more than 20,000 charging points for electric vehicles.
The Shell Fleet App provides smaller businesses with enhanced control over their fuel expenses through automated digital invoices and tailored spending limits. The app boasts a friendly interface and an automated onboarding system which allows drivers to get approval within 10 minutes of signing up to the app. Drivers can also benefit from regular discounts at stations belonging to Shell.
Deepti Behl, Shell’s Global Head of SME, said about the news:
“Small and medium-sized businesses typically don’t have access to the same resources as larger organisations to manage their vehicle administration. For companies with multiple vehicles in their fleet, this only adds to the complexity and administrative burden that comes with running a business.”
Behl said this was why the company was so happy to be extending the app to SMEs with fleets of up to 30 vehicles, so they can also save time on administration by using its services and focus more on high-priority work that will help grow their businesses. The app had been previously limited to smaller businesses with up to 10 vehicles in their fleets.
