A fresh generation of fluid solutions called “Beyond by Valvoline” has been announced by Valvoline Global.

Valvoline has a long history that includes creating America’s first branded motor oil in the 19th century. When the mass-produced Ford Model T made motoring more accessible, Ford only recommended Valvoline for its vehicles. Valvoline now provides leading lubricant solutions, and Beyond by Valvoline builds on this to meet the gruelling demands of the latest technologies.

The new platform is oriented towards thermal management through coolant technology. AI (artificial intelligence) and other technologies are demanding higher than ever performances, but this comes at the cost of increased heat. This can make performance unsustainable, hinder energy efficiency and reduce the life of vital components. Beyond by Valvoline was designed to address the heat issues of modern technologies like data centres and battery storage, as well as that of emerging technologies in future.

Valvoline Global’s Chief Technical Officer, Roger England, said about the new platform:

“The relationship between performance and heat is universal. As energy-intensive equipment becomes more powerful, managing heat becomes increasingly critical to sustaining performance. This is as true for engines as it is for high-performance technology platforms. Valvoline stands at the forefront of developing solutions for customers and consumers around the world…”

He added that the new range reflects how the emerging challenges presented by modern and upcoming technologies can be addressed thanks to the company’s engineering knowledge. He noted that since the industrial revolution, Valvoline has dedicated itself to keeping the world moving, and this now includes the information revolution.
