Description
The CPI 1508 Series compressor oils, available in ISO VG 68 (CPI 1508-68) and ISO VG 100 (CPI 1508-100) are manufactured using a polyalkylene glycol (PAG) base fluid, combined with a high-performance additive package to ensure minimal dilution in the presence of hydrocarbon gases.
These lubricants deliver superior protection against hydrogen sulfide (H2S) in the gas stream, alongside excellent corrosion resistance, oxidative stability, and thermal performance. This allows the CPI 1508 Series to perform reliably over a broad temperature range, without leading to varnish or deposit formation. Thanks to their high viscosity index (VI) and resistance to hydrocarbon dilution, these oils maintain stable viscosity across varying temperatures and gas compositions.
Especially beneficial in challenging chemical environments, including sour gas (H2S) applications, the CPI 1508 Series offers robust performance and extended service life.
Applications and Compressor Types:
- Flooded rotary screw compressors
- Sour gas applications
- Heavy hydrocarbon gas stream applications
Key Benefits:
- Hydrocarbon Insolubility: Negligible dilution during hydrocarbon operations
- H2S Corrosion Protection: Strong resistance against hydrogen sulfide corrosion
- Oxidative Stability: Prolonged system life
- High Viscosity Index: Minimal viscosity fluctuations across a wide temperature range
