Some of the cutting fluids we supply are specially designed for use with ferrous metals which contain iron. Such metals are prized for their strength, but offer little resistance to corrosion, which is why certain formulas contain corrosion inhibitors – these have been proven to protect against rusting, oxidation and other kinds of decomposition. Such fluids also boast excellent properties of flushing, cooling and wetting, which are essential to many grinding procedures.

In addition to ferrous metals, some cutting fluids are suitable for use with materials than contain copper, while others are best suited to use with aluminium, stainless steel or yellow metals.
