Renowned chemical company and lubricant additive expert Lubrizol is pushing millions into its global headquarters as part of a strategic investment plan.

As owner of CPI Fluid Engineering, the company delivers cutting-edge refrigeration compressor oil and heat transfer fluid via its respected brands – Solest, Emkarate and Paratherm.

Ahead of its 100th anniversary arriving in 2028, the corporation is improving its world base situated in Wickliffe in Northeast Ohio, USA. The multi-million investment will increase the well-established operator’s impact and capacity for innovation, with works including the construction of collaborative meeting areas, new and improved laboratories and a dedicated Lubrizol experience centre, among other plans.

The largescale funding will integrate the capabilities and personnel at Lubrizol’s Brecksville site into its campus at Wickliffe. This initiative will let over 1,000 of the corporation’s Northeast Ohio employees collaborate at a single location. The move aims to improve teamwork, speed up decision making, amplify person-to-person connectivity and grow development opportunities through uniting the minds who head up the corporation’s state-of-the-art science in a modernised workspace.

The major Lubrizol investment signals that the company, which is among the area’s biggest employers, is reinforcing its commitment to Northeast Ohio and will supply a substantial boost in community engagement and economic activity. The funding will also fortify Lubrizol’s international reach, as its activities at Wickliffe impact its customers and operations in around 100 countries.

Construction of the new developments is expected to reach completion within the next two years in time to celebrate Lubrizol’s centennial achievement.
