Paterson Enterprises, Morris Lubricant’s parent company, recently donated a total of £2,500 to support the Shropshire Community Foundation (SCF).
From its base in the county on Castle Foregate in Shrewsbury, Morris Lubricants has blended and manufactured high quality oils, fluids and greases for over 150 years. Its products include low odour cutting fluid, gear oil, premium grade hydraulic oil and heat transfer fluid, among others, that it exports worldwide to more than 100 countries.
Founded in 1869, Paterson Enterprises is a family-founded firm. It has agreed to help the foundation via the Shropshire Investors in Community (SIIC) initiative. Launched in collaboration with Selina Graham, who served as High Sheriff for Shropshire from 2022 to 2023, SIIC welcomes organisations on every scale that seek to have a positive and sustainable impact on those in the county who are most in need.
To date, the SCF has distributed grants that total over £180,000 to a range of community groups and charities across Shropshire, Wrekin and Telford, helping to strengthen communities and support the individuals who live in them. The foundation connects those facing specific challenges with those who wish to make a significant difference. It empowers local donors to invest in causes and communities where funding is scarce and places where it will have the most substantial effect.
Executive Chairman for Morris Lubricants, Andrew Goddard, commented that as the SFC’s chair, Graham approached Patterson Enterprises in search of support for worthy causes. He added that the company was delighted to offer the foundation its support.
