Morris Lubricants sponsors local cricket club

Wind power

Shrewsbury-based Morris Lubricants has agreed a five-year sponsorship deal with a local cricket club in the Oswestry area.

The chairman of Knockin and Kinnerley Cricket Club (KKCC), Hugh Morris, welcomed the opportunity of being associated with Morris Lubricants, which he said is a well-respected and well-known company in the area. He added that the club was looking forward to building on this relationship in future.

The deal will see Paterson Enterprises, which encompasses not just the lubricant business but also the Morris family leisure business, feature prominently on the club’s website. The logo of Morris Lubricants will also be displayed on the shirts of the adult team, and signage around the ground will also promote the company’s brand. There may also be a friendly match between the club and workers from the Morris businesses in the summer.

Morris Lubricants’ executive chairman, Andrew Goddard, said it was great to be supporting sports at the grassroots level:

“…especially when they form a vital part of the community and Knockin and Kinnerley Cricket Club certainly does that. Cricket clubs and other sport clubs help to promote fitness and wellbeing as well as offer [a] place for people to meet and relax and it’s great to get involved.”

Despite being a leading maker of advanced lubricants, Morris Lubricants is a fifth-generation, family-owned company with a heritage stretching back 150 years. We’re proud at TrAchem to offer products like their Morris Super Farm tractor oil, so contact our helpful team to learn more.
