Morris Lubricants to expand UK supply fleet

Morris 1 scaled

Leading lubricant manufacturer Morris Lubricants recently added another vehicle to its fleet to cover its extensive customer base in Britain.

A world-class supplier, Morris Lubricants has produced high quality oils, fluids and greases since 1869. It currently serves a full range of sectors including – but not limited to – agriculture, marine and industrial, which it supplies with high-quality hydraulic oil and mould release oil, among many other lubricants.

The company’s website recently announced its receipt of an all-new Scania P 280 truck via West Pennine Trucks to extend the reach of its dedicated fleet. The new truck is fully operational and already in action, delivering quality lubrication solutions to customers across the UK.

The news of the company’s new vehicle follows Morris Lubricants’ major investment into its logistics, manufacturing and production facilities. The company-wide initiative aims to drive efficiency levels on every front of its business; however, the major lube maker reportedly feels strongly that enhancing operational efficiency should never cost the environment.

Morris Lubricants has started the transition from running its delivery vehicles on diesel fuel to hydrotreated vegetable oil (HVO). The eco-friendly fuel is produced from 100 per cent raw renewable materials like vegetable oils, fats and animal oils that can cut net greenhouse gas emissions significantly (up to 90 per cent).

While HVO is a costlier fuel than diesel, Morris Lubricants is committed to sustainability, and the expense is partially mitigated by significant annual savings on CO2 equivalent. The company aims to offset the last 10 per cent of emissions this year, aided by its a carbon-neutral lubricant delivery service.
