Shell Malaysia celebrates major anniversary

World

The Malaysian division of Shell recently marked its 135th anniversary by rewarding its regional customer base.

The company has renewed its customer-focused efforts via a marketing campaign called “Made for More”. This has involved the oil, gas and fuel company distributing value-driven offerings that have included around 1.35 million Malaysian ringgits worth of prizes awarded through a nationwide competition.

The prizes are aimed at improving everyday journeys of Malaysian citizens, giving a nod to the divisions’ early years in the nation when it served as a trader in kerosene. However, over its many decades operating in Southeast Asia, Shell Malaysia’s product portfolio has extended well beyond fuel. Today, it supplies a diverse selection of industrial lubricants that include synthetic and semi-synthetic solutions like turbine oil (Shell Turbo) gas engine oil (Shell Mysella), hydraulic oil (Shell Tellus), gear oil (Shell Omala and Shell Spirax), air compressor oil (Shell Corena), slideway oil (Shell Tonna) and grease (Shell Gadus).

Commenting on the recent anniversary, Malaysia’s General Manager for Shell Mobility and Convenience, Seow Lee Ming, said that the milestone reflects Shell’s continued commitment to providing meaningful experiences, practical value and convenience for Malaysians. She added that the campaign title “Made for More” is designed to sum up this mission for consumers.

A globally recognised brand with a comprehensive collection of products to serve every sector, Shell lubricants is currently maintaining its lead in the industry. It has held the title of the number one lubricant supplier in the world for 19 years in a row and its oils, greases and fluids are readily available in over 175 countries.
