Kluber Lubrication has announced that it has bought German company TriboServ GmbH & Co. KG, a leading provider of automatic lubrication solutions.
Kluber is already a global player for speciality lubricants like gear oil, many specifically developed to meet the needs of its customers. It has a history of more than 90 years of providing markets and industries around the world with advanced tribological solutions. The Geldersheim-based TriboServ, meanwhile, is much newer, but specialises in customised lubrication systems and automatic lubricators. Kluber claims the acquisition will secure ongoing growth by strategically diversifying its portfolio.
Both companies believe their highly specialised respective strengths will ideally complement each other, making it an ideal partnership. They say customers will benefit from a wider range of lubricant services and products. Combined with greater cooperation in areas like application engineering, sales and customer service, they expect this will yield substantial opportunities for growth.
Kluber Lubrication’s CEO, Dr. Wolfgang Sammer, said the acquisition was well suited:
“…for our strategic focus on strengthening both innovation and customer benefits through targeted partnerships. The expertise of the TriboServ team, particularly in customised tribological solutions that combine specialty lubricants with lubrication systems, ideally complements our portfolio. We look forward to working together to deliver added value to our customers.”
TriboServ Founder Dr. Michael Weigand said the combined companies would extend their capacity for innovation and gain access to new markets. Both companies will continue to serve their customers with the same leading services and products over the coming months while their operations are gradually integrated.
