The Aston Martin Formula 1 (AMF1) team has agreed a deal whereby Valvoline Global will become its official long-term lubricant partner, with the brand featuring prominently in its livery.

To celebrate the deal, the team used a one-off livery with the Valvoline brand colours on the AMR23 car driven by Lance Strollat and Fernando Alonso at the British Grand Prix at Silverstone. For the rest of the 2023 season, the team will go back to the usual livery, but with the Valvoline brand still featuring prominently.

Mike Krack, the boss of the Aston Martin F1 team, said everyone in the team was elated at Valvoline becoming the official partner for lubricants, adding:

“From this weekend’s British Grand Prix, Valvoline Global will provide race-proven lubricants for our AMR23 to help drive performance. This long-term partnership with Valvoline Global will also benefit our new works power unit partnership with Honda from 2026 with bespoke lubricants.”

The partners will now work together on developing new lubricants to enhance the AMF1 team’s performance on the track, with this hopefully leading to greater success in the placements. This should help Valvoline to improve its mainstream products, while the prominent branding will aid the company in reaching potential customers around the world.

While traditionally an American company, Valvoline products are available around the world, especially since oil giant Saudi Aramco acquired Valvoline’s lubricant business. Here at TrAchem, we’re proud to offer products like Valvoline Tectyl for corrosion protection, so contact our team to learn more.
