Synthetic Paratherm Heat Transfer Fluids
Developed by leading lubrication maker CPI Fluid Engineering, Paratherm is a respected brand of heat transfer fluid (HTF). While Paratherm’s extensive range includes mineral oil-based options, it also provides synthetic HTFs designed with advanced capabilities to serve industries and processes with the most demanding operating conditions.
Applications for synthetic Paratherm HTFs
Some of the most intensive industry applications benefit from using synthetic thermal fluids from Paratherm. Synthetic HTFs help companies operate more effectively, safely and compliantly.
Fluids are used in chemical processes to cool, as well as for heating equipment like reboilers and reactors. In the oil and gas industry, they heat crude oil, making it easier to transport and pump – providing precise temperature during gas distillation processes.
However, Partherm’s synthetic HTF sees use in a wide range of other industrial uses, including asphalt storage and processing, industrial drying, food and beverage processing and operations working with plastics, textiles and polymers.
Key features of synthetic Paratherm heat transfer fluids
To serve the industries and applications discussed above, Paratherm’s synthetic HTFs are specially formulated with key characteristics.
With high thermal stability, the synthetic fluids are engineered to maintain their attributes operating under extreme heat and resist degradation over time, even in the most demanding conditions.
To cope with the most extreme operating environments, thermal fluids also have a wide operating temperature range. For instance, many synthetic fluids can operate at temperatures up to 357 °C and offer equally impressive low temperature performance, with cold starts at temperatures as low as 6 °C. They also have high boiling and flash points, which promote higher safety levels.
Fluids are imbued with excellent heat transfer efficiency, reducing running and maintenance costs for operations. They have a high purity formulation that lets them resist sludge, varnish and tar formations that can harm components and degrade the overall performance of heat transfer systems.
