Made in Britain attends major events

Certs Approvals

Industry group Made in Britain will be promoting UK manufacturing this autumn with appearances at a number of prominent events.

The organisation represents over 2,200 UK manufacturers, reflecting the dynamic and diverse nature of manufacturing in the UK. Members range from well-known brands like Vauxhall and Polypide to innovators in niche areas, such as Forbes & Lomax and Lockabox.

Made in Britain’s CEO, John Pearce, said that it is more important than ever to promote goods made in Britain. He added it was about more than just connecting components, something manufacturers were demonstrating through their exports. He also said that rather than merely surviving:

“…they are thriving, innovating and playing a vital role in fortifying our economy, our communities and our future. From interior design to space, we are making sure British manufacturers are seen, recognised and valued for the great products they make and the impact they have on society.”

Made in Britain’s delegation has already attended the UK Metals Expo. The UK metals industry sector has achieved global reach thanks to its dynamism and use of leading products like the Quaker Houghton metalworking fluids. It also made an appearance at DSEI UK, one of the biggest security and defence events in the world.

The not-for-profit organisation also scheduled appearances at the Conservative, Labour and Liberal Democrat party conferences to press upon politicians the importance of buying British. After attending more industry events, the group will end the season with the Made in Britain Impact Awards to celebrate manufacturing excellence.
