A global leader in the lubrication industry, Castrol is respected for its cutting-edge products that range from rust preventative oils to vacuum pump fluid.

The company recently announced the appointment of a new chief executive officer (CEO) for the Global Marine and Energy sector of its operation, Mathieu Boulandet.

Boulandet’s previous position saw him serve as Vice President for Castrol’s industrial business throughout Europe. During his tenure, he played a critical role in supplying profitable and sustainable growth for the company. However, his career at Castrol began in Germany back in 2018, when he was hired as Global Industrial Technology Manager.

Before Castrol, Boulandet spent 17 years in various roles in the lubrication value chain for TotalEnergies. These included technology, sales, strategy and global accounts, along with mergers and acquisitions. He has worked and lived all over the world, including South Korea, Denmark, France, Germany, the Middle East, China and Singapore, allowing him to bring diverse regional and global experience to his new role.

Speaking on his appointment, Boulandet commented:

“I look forward to collaborating closely with our teams to deliver greater value to our customers and develop new solutions that enable us to deliver end-to-end lubrication as a service and help our customers and partners to reach their sustainability goals.”

The new CEO for Global Marine and Energy will now drive Castrol’s firm focus on providing advanced lubricant solutions and digital technology to support sustainability, efficiency, alternative fuels and ever-changing regulations to meet evolving customer needs and trends in the sectors.
