The largest lubricant manufacturer in the world, Fuchs Lubricants, recently added a brand-new product to its extensive range of high-quality solutions.
Named “Nyogel 760G”, the lubricant is a synthetic hydrocarbon grease that has been specially designed to lubricate and protect exposed terminals and electrical connectors.
The newly formulated grease is silica-thickened and has a medium level viscosity. According to a press release from Fuchs Lubricants, the grease offers end users many sought-after properties. These include excellent oxidative stability and resistance to heat.
Lubricants working under harsh or heavy-duty conditions can lose their effectiveness when contaminated with oxygen or become subject to extreme heat. Such conditions break down useful attributes and additives, reducing how well they can lubricate and protect equipment, and can curtail their active service life.
Nyogel 760G has an outstanding operating temperature range that extends from -40 °C up to 135 °C. This helps it mitigate fretting corrosion occurring on electrical connections that are often caused by mechanical vibrations. Furthermore, it supplies dielectric isolation and has a 11.2 kV breakdown voltage that significantly reduces the risk of circuits shorting.
Like other products manufactured by Fuchs Lubricants, Nyogel 760G has been designed to guarantee quality control and correct application. As a result, it is formulated to include an ultraviolet (UV) dye that makes authentication swift and simple.
The all-new synthetic grease is offered in a variety of different packaging choices, like tubes, syringes, pails and kegs to cater for applications on a small-scale, as well as operations involving high-volume production.
