Texaco Lubricants has launched a new high-performance, heavy-duty synthetic engine oil in the form of Texaco Delo 400 XSP SAE 5W-20. Texaco claims the new oil offers better fuel economy and comprehensive protection for the low-emission, high-performance engines of heavy-duty road vehicles.
This commercial vehicle oil boasts an additive package with a low SAPS (sulphated ash, phosphorus, and sulphur) content and features Texaco’s ISOSYN technology. It also meets the most recent Euro 6D emission standards and MAN M3977 requirements for today’s diesel engines that are equipped with diesel particulate filters.
Thanks to the low-ash content in its formulation, Delo 400 XSP SAE 5W-20 helps to safeguard the recirculation of exhaust gas, diesel particulate filters and catalytic converter systems of vehicles. With these aftertreatment systems functioning more reliably over their entire lifecycle, fewer emissions are released into the atmosphere.
According to Texaco, the new oil also aims to deliver optimal fuel economy and protection thanks to its advanced formulation of base oils and additives, all while potentially lengthening oil drain intervals. It also boasts a low viscosity at lower temperatures, which helps vehicle start-up and performance at sub-zero temperatures.
Texaco Delo 400 XSP SAE 5W-20 is specially designed for use with MAN vehicles equipped with Euro 6D engines, such as the latest MAN buses and trucks that need a commercial vehicle oil that meets the MAN M3977 standards. This includes the E, F, J, and K type vehicles that are produced with D26, D2676, D38, and D3876 engines.
